What does SentoVox research?
SentoVox is built around a set of standardised modules that each venue can deploy to fit its needs. The questionnaire combines core European questions with optional local ones.
- Visitor experience - how audiences experience the performance, building and staff
- Programming evaluation - appreciation of the offering and suggestions for new content
- Impact Compass Model - measures wider societal and personal impact
- Infrastructure - comfort, accessibility and facilities
- Communication evaluation - reach and effectiveness of marketing channels
- Audience profile - demographics, motivations and visit frequency
- Net Promoter Score (NPS) - how likely visitors are to recommend you
- Non-visitor research - why people stay away and how to reach them
Scientific approach
SentoVox is developed by an academic team across 7 European universities, including the University of Groningen, University of Antwerp, FH Kufstein Tirol and HAWK Hildesheim. The method is standardised so that results are comparable across Europe, while leaving room for local questions relevant to your venue. The helpdesk and data analysis are run by the academic team.
Security and privacy
All surveys run over a secure HTTPS/SSL connection. Respondents answer fully anonymously; no personal data is collected. The research complies with GDPR. Venue-level results remain confidential and are only accessible to the participating venue.
Which venues is it for?
SentoVox is aimed at any organisation presenting the performing arts to an audience: theatres, concert halls, multidisciplinary cultural centres and arts centres. The common thread is the performing arts - which makes comparison across countries and venue types meaningful.
